Court House - Chiltern

Designed by H.A. Williams of the Public Works Department, the building was erected in 1865. The contractor was Mr. Stevens. The single storey brick structure comprises a single gabled court room with flanking offices to the rear. The centrally located public entrance is expressed by a brick porch with a segmental arch entrance. The window openings are also composed of segmental arches.
This is a fine example od court house architecture in the conservative classical style.
